Neither did I, but I found out that iPumper has so many names: Escolade, Search Protect, Software Version Updater, FreeMediaPack, Fast File Downloader. So maybe it's not escolade, but freemediapack etc.

It's now up on their site. When you go to sipgate.com now, you are greeted with a popup with the closure message and you are unable to navigate the site. There is a link in the message that allows existing users to log in though. I will miss Sipgate.

Yea I know I can put cash on it at Walmart but I just don't like having to go there. Its too crowded and lines are too long lol. I just hate going to Walmart and try to avoid it unless I have to shop there for something.

I went through the same thing with Bluebird when I linked my own debit card from another financial institution to it. They locked my card until I sent them everything but the picture of my house. For some reason my account got auto-flagged for fraud and when I asked Bluebird customer service why would my account get flagged for fraud, even they couldn't answer the question. Their only assumption was their system picked it up as a pre-paid card and autolocked my card, but still that is not fraud. I had to send them bank statements, my social security card and everything and they eventually unlocked my account and let me keep the debit card I added on there but with limited use. It got to the point that I was just so mentally drained behind the card I just left it at limited status. It took A WEEK and getting a rep who eventually knew what to do to take responsibility to fix the problem rather than throwing me off on another rep or telling me to do yet ANOTHER task that I had already done. Their reps kept telling me to send them this and that and I would tell them every single time I've done that already and you're like the FIFTH person to tell me to do that. Then they're like "Oh I see you've already done that". Eventually a rep took responsibility of the issue, told me my card was good to go and apologized for the inconvenience. Pfft.

I just got my GoBank card in the mail yesterday. The card looks promising however my only main peeve with it is there is no automatic way to fund it except direct deposit and I don't trust 100% of my paycheck going to an "internet card" who can freeze my card at will, with my entire paycheck along with it, if they don't like the way I'm using it or suspect a normal transaction is fraud like I had with Bluebird. I like keeping my larger direct deposit with a more reliable bank source and then having a debit card extract small amounts of my spending cash from it. Also that way I can dispute those extractions with my main financial institution if GoBank ever decides to go ham on my money AND i can avoid bank fees because my main financial institution charges for withdrawals made electronically to other banks.

So for now I have my main financial institution set to automatically withdraw funds to send to the GoBank card as a bill payment so I don't incur any electronic withdrawal fees, but I don't know if that will work or how long it will take to post on the GoBank card. I'm hoping it works though.

I have written GoBank though asking for a feature to automatically withdraw funds from another debit card or bank using the routing and account number so hopefully its something in the making. Here is Gobank's response to my inquiry.

"Your suggestion of having an automated debit card/ACH funding option is highly appreciated. I'm sure you're not the only one who is thinking along these lines. We shall have our Development Team look into it and pass along your feedback to further improve the customer experience.

I was trying to watch a movie online. Stupid idiot me wanted to see a particular movie for a long time. It was 1.6GB and I received a notification that I had to install a download programme so I could watch it on DivX Player. The movie was The Who's, "Tommy", and the programme is called "Tommy_Downloader" - and "iPumper" is attached to this. After
installing Tommy Downloader, I uninstalled it straight away when I realised what it was. But now I can not delete the .exe file that I
originally downloaded, no matter what I do!

welcome to the AMEX Bluebird Banned Club! i'm sure they'll return your money soon as obviously they can't keep it. but ya, it sucks. luckily i didn't have any balance when they shut mine down, since i wasn't actually using it, so i can't say how long it will take to get your money back.

Turns out if your Bluebird account gets closed and perma-locked, it will also perma-lock you from getting an AMEX Serv card too. I also had an old AMEX Prepaid card that I got two Christmases ago ... guess what, that doesn't seem to be working anymore either. Good job AMEX treating average people as criminals while real criminals are most likely falling through the cracks. You would have thought I shot the Pope the way AMEX is treating me over this simple thing.

Seems like they are sending the notices out via email in waves. I got this email yesterday on one of my accounts and then got a second email saying the same thing today on my other account. They also sent it to my old email addresses that I used to have registered on SipGate. So if you haven't gotten your email yet saying they are closing their services, then you just haven't gotten your email yet, but it's coming. So sad.

If you buy an obihai box (www.obihai.com) you can use Google Voice for free. Not sure if it works with a sip phone but works great with POTS phones such as multi-handset cordless phones. I've mostly stopped using my Sipgate anyways.

The real trouble is that people are really really weak in solving basic arithmetic problems.

I suppose it's like that saying: "The trouble with common sense is that it's not so common".

I didn't even pay attention to the last "add" or "finally 10" because it doesn't make sense (to me) not to add it. It's basic mathematics and basic logics as well.

Philosphically speaking, we now understand that people actually need to be told what to do in order to solve mundane problems such as the one mentioned above.

I think we truly failed as a generation,
